06 January 2011

As we are just six days into 2011, I have been hearing all about resolutions.  So I first decided to set some:
- Eat Healthier {this was shattered when we still had brownies leftover from Christmas, rotel dip, and hot chocolate in our home}

- Drink less Caffeine {this was shattered when I increased my regular one cup to two or three cups a day of coffee, followed by a DC around 2 p.m.}

- Limit my hits to People.com and Perez Hilton to once a day {OMG what was I thinking, they are always updating}
- Not buy everything I see in a store with sequins attached to it {But this Loft shirt was featured in Real Simple and on sale}

Since it is already the 6th of the month, and all of these resolutions have been broken, I have decided to rather set goals for myself for 2011.
- Run a half-marathon.  Ok, Ok, I know, this is a little OOC for me.  And I am still debating it, since yesterday I ran three miles and almost fell off the treadmill.  But, I have friends that tell me I can do it, so I am going to try and push myself.  Will keep you updated...
- Keep in touch: write more hand-written notes, email more, say hello on Facebook.  If you are an older reader, you know I love personalized stationary and the value of snail mail.

- Just listen more.  I talk way too much, and probably won't ever stop that.  BUT, I can listen more, even if it is listening to Ryan Seacrest on E! News.

- Cook more.  Actually, this is more OOC than saying I want to run a half marathon.

It's here - the newly redesigned fab life.

As you can see, the old ways, molliemorganrobinson.blogspot.com is now:

faux fur and sequins.blogspot.com

You may be wondering where I got the name for my new (old) (updated) (madeover) (botoxed) blog.

Two of my favorite clothing items are faux fur and sequins.  Whenever I go into a store and there are items with either of these two materials I instantly run to the rack, grab them, and make a purchase.  The reason my fur is faux is because I am 25, and really don't need the real thing.  In about 50 years though, I will sport a long fur coat only when going to church, the beauty parlor, and wine dates with my friends.  (Sorry Peta)

And I believe that sequins will never go out of style and that you can never have too much of them in your wardrobe.  I would sleep in sequined pajamas if I found the right set.  If you find one, send me the deets.

30 November 2010

I believe that my blog is having an identity crisis.

First off, it has been neglected and abused.  Actually, just neglected, but that is in part to my lack of attention.

Second, it is totally upset since my name has changed.  Yes, loyal fans, my last name has changed and I got hitched.  It was a magical day full of sunshine, champagne, sequins and love.

Thus, I need to figure out pronto how to also change my blog from a "Robinson" to a "Bailey" - any ideas blogosphere?  I may need to create a new URL, which I guess would give me a fresh start and encourage me to write more.

Anyways, I hope that you all had a fab Thanksgiving.  I ate too much and am re-reading Harry Potter 7.  It.is.life.changing.  I saw the movie with my life partner (this is how I am going to refer to my new husband, I will not be using the term hubby or hubba, gross) and decided that I must read this wonderful piece of literature again to remind myself of all the wonderful things that were left out of the movie.  Now, don't get me wrong, I loved the movie - but there are so many details in the books that just make them that much better.  Ok, ok, I will stop before I sound like a total nerd.

In other news - T. Swift is dating Jake Gyllenhaal.  Um, what?!?!  Now, I never would have picked these two to get together, but I secretly like it.  They were seen in NYC and Nashville over the holidays - what jetsetters.  I bet she has already written two songs about them - one about how they fall in love and have babies and the other if he breaks her heart and then starts dating Kate Hudson.  Jake must have some fetish for TN girls - he has been linked to both Reese and T.Swift, both from the Nashville area.

Wow, it feels great to write about celebrities.  My life partner does not share my same obsession with them, so it is great to share with all my loyal readers.  Now, I am going to drink my overpriced latte and do a little online shopping, what do you think about these items below?

13 August 2010

Happy Friday!  I  had a wonderful week filled with socials, birthday cupcakes, manis/pedis and Jillian Michael's kicking my butt.  Some things I am loving this week...

Here I am at age 7 - already a diva rocking my windsuit.

Enjoy some pink and gold inspiration for your weekend - via Pink Book.

 Sugarland station on my pandora channel.

Chuck Bass.

Britney seen entering a recording studio.  OMGEE.  And it was confirmed that there will be a Britney epsiode on Glee this fall.  I am already using my Darin's Dance Grooves VHS to relearn the moves to "Oops I did it again."
